Dear Lord,
We humans were not present when You created all things,
but we get to enjoy the fruit of Your creation.
We never met the prophets of old,
but You inspired their words so we can
read with assurance that Jesus is the Messiah.
We weren't there when Jesus was raised
from death and ascended to heaven,
but You considered each one of us
and showed us love and compassion
in the promise of eternal life.
We thank You for the fruit of Your creation,
the certainty of Your word, and for the
hope of eternal life with You in heaven.
