Lord God,
We're here to worship You with our heart, soul, mind and body.
We don't only worship You in a church building on Sunday mornings.
We pray that You set our minds straight and that our thoughts
would center on You and Your desires at ALL times.
We pray that our actions serve and honor one another,
caring for one another as if they are Jesus in our midst.
We pray that we come together as one - the body of Christ -
to do the work You've put before us.
In Jesus' holy name,
Amen.

Father God,
Today we honor the men in our lives who have
taught and guided us and loved and cared for us.
We pray for a spirit of consolation for
those whose fathers are a fond memory,
and a spirit of forgiveness for
those whose memory is not so fond.
May we all strive to show one another
the love of our Father in heaven.
We pray this in the name of the Father,
and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Father God,
The world would have us doubt You and ourselves.
We pray for perseverance, strength and faith to overcome.
The devil tells us we can't, but Your Spirit is alive in us
and Your Spirit says we can!
We can go on another day even though it's hard.
We can forgive. We can seek You and humbly serve You.
We thank You for Your faithfulness;
for the guidance of Your Holy Spirit.
We pray to You in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.
Amen.

Lord God,
We know our transgressions because
our shame keeps the memory fresh.
You would be right to condemn us.
But instead, through faith in Jesus
and by Your grace,
we are cleansed of our sin.
We are filled with joy at knowing You
and receiving Your mercy.
May we sing of Your righteousness
and declare Your praise, in Jesus' holy name.
