Lord God in heaven,
Sometimes it's hard for us to hold it together.
We feel battered by our circumstances.
Only You offer us hope.
Help us to tune our ears to listen for Your advice,
and seek You for consolation and healing.
Proverbs 16:9 says,
"In his heart a man plans his course,
but the LORD determines his steps."
We surrender to You, God.
We trust You with our lives.
