Lord God in heaven,

You created all things and set this world in motion.

You created man in Your image, and from him, made woman.

Your ways – Your methods – are beyond our comprehension.

We are in awe of Your knowledge and power.

We thank You, Lord, for providing for us.

And – today especially – we thank You for our mothers

and for the women in our lives who have guided us and helped us.

Isaiah 66:13 says,

“As a mother comforts her child, so I (God) will comfort you…”

Thank You for Your tenderness and mercy, and for Your unfailing love.
